The Venice of the North: a city of islands and bridges

About the tour

Many rivers flow through Wrocław, the most important of which is the Oder. The city is situated amongst numerous canals and islands, and its charm is enhanced by the bridges that form a picturesque panorama of the city. During our walk, we will see the most famous islands located near the Old Town Square. The route offers stunning views of the Old Town’s most important landmarks, such as the Baroque building of the University of Wrocław and the Ossolineum. We’ll end our walk on Cathedral Island, where we’ll be on the lookout for the most mysterious figure of all – Wrocław’s lamplighter.
