Four Denomination District: postcards from Breslau

About the tour

Wrocław has an incredibly rich history, which is reflected above all in its multicultural character, which has evolved over the centuries. Evidence of this is the Four Denominations District, which brings together four different religions. It is here, too, amongst the historic townhouses of the former Jewish quarter, that a new artistic enclave of post-war Wrocław has emerged. Many buildings linked to the city’s past have been transformed into vibrant cultural hubs that shape Wrocław’s alternative character. During our walk, we’ll explore the places of worship located in the district and venture into lesser-known corners discovering true artistic gems. As well as the picturesque streets of the Four Denominations District, we’ll also take a stroll along the Old Town Promenade, with views of the stunning historic architecture of 19th-century Wrocław, known then as a german city of Breslau.
